Chicago Ideas Week, 10/16–10/22 September 2017

Events

Chicago Ideas is a movement built on one core belief: When a broad spectrum of thinkers share ideas, we have the power to transform our world.

This October 16-22, Chicago Ideas Week–the world’s largest affordable ideas festival–will bring over 200 globally renowned leaders in design, the arts, civic leadership, business, social change, and more to the Chicago stage. Architect of the National Museum of African American History & Culture David Adjaye, designers Zac Posen and Rachel Roy, Whole Foods Co-Founder and CEO John Mackey, and more will join a community of curiosity for a week that features over 150 events across the city.

This year, nearly 30 onstage programs will focus on a wide range of topics—from city planning, creative design, and fashion to entrepreneurship, civic activism, and education. In addition, 90 hands-on labs will give attendees an exclusive glimpse into the city’s most innovative businesses and organizations, including a behind-the-scenes look at repurposing building material with the Rebuilding Exchange, community-centered design with the Civic Consulting Alliance, and more.

Tickets to most events are just $15 and are available at www.chicagoideas.com.
